Craft and Food Vendors: Are you interested in participating in the Markham Jazz Festival at Toogood Pond?

The Markham Jazz Festival, held annually on the third weekend in August, will be celebrating its 11th anniversary this year. As well as Markham Main Street, we are expanding our programming and having top-rate jazz at Toogood Pond in Bruce Creek Park, located behind the Varley Art Gallery on Unionville Main Street

This year, all vendors will be placed on the grounds near Toogood Pond and the Varley Art Gallery. Along with the vendors, there will be performances all day Saturday, Saturday evening and during the day on Sunday. Booths will be located in the park close to the performance area. Visitor attendance was around 15,000 last year and we anticipate improving this number in 2008, particularly with this return to a well-liked venue from past years!!

The Varley Art Gallery is located at 216 Main Street at Carlton Road in Unionville. Toogood Pond is located to the west behind the gallery.

Directions: From Highway 401:

* Take Hwy. 404 north
* Hwy. 404 North, take Hwy. 7 east
(approx 4 km)
* Hwy. 7 East, turn left at Main St. Unionville
(3 lights east of Warden Ave)
* Main St. Unionville North. Gallery is located several blocks north at the intersection of Main St. and Carlton Rd. (approx 1 km) at the top of the village. There will be designated parking for vendors and entertainers.
